This full-time, on-site Staff SRE Engineer role supports the Voice Core Platform at ServiceNow in Hyderabad, which runs real-time conversational AI voice calls. The orchestrator handles voice activity detection, speech-to-text, LLM-based agent matching, tool calls against platform APIs and text-to-speech, and latency and reliability are central to the product.
The job covers defining reliability targets, tracing every pipeline stage, planning capacity for real-time connections, resilience for model dependencies and Kubernetes operations.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive service level objectives for availability, perceived latency and call quality
- Instrument end-to-end tracing and lead architecture work to reduce latency
- Design autoscaling and capacity plans for stateful real-time connections such as WebSocket, WebRTC and SIP
- Build resilience for LLM, speech-to-text and text-to-speech dependencies, and lead incident response
Requirements
- At least eight years in SRE, DevOps, production engineering or software engineering at scale
- At least one year building or operating real-time voice systems
- At least two years building or operating agentic AI systems and orchestration pipelines
- Strong Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure and Terraform or similar skills
Qualifications
- Inference serving experience with tools such as vLLM, Triton or GPU scheduling is a plus
- Familiarity with the ServiceNow platform or enterprise SaaS backends is a plus
