Recidiviz seeks a remote State Partnerships Manager to collaborate closely with state prison agency leadership teams. In this position, the employee will build lasting relationships, deploy technology solutions, and guide state partners toward safely reducing incarceration populations. Recidiviz builds modern data infrastructure and software tools to help justice system leaders make data-driven decisions and improve outcomes for justice-involved individuals. The organization partners with correctional departments across the United States, utilizing revenue earned from state partners alongside foundation support.
This role suits professionals who combine skills from account management, product strategy, and political lobbying. Ideal candidates bring resilience, strong documentation abilities, and the capacity to navigate high-intensity environments. The position involves frequent travel, requiring an average of three to five business days per month for in-person meetings with state officials, as well as visits to parole offices and prison facilities. Compensation is standardized at either $117,600 or $137,550, determined by the candidate's demonstrated skills, scope, and relevant experience. Responsibilities
- Analyze, deconstruct, and document the needs of key correctional actors and individuals involved in the justice system
- Establish deep relationships with stakeholders to ensure they feel supported and heard
- Adapt and deploy core Recidiviz product offerings and ad-hoc data analysis capabilities for state partners
- Convey clear written instructions to user experience designers, product managers, data analysts, and implementation engineers to meet state objectives
- Drive partnerships toward financial sustainability and measurable impact
- Navigate high-intensity experiences within prison facilities and other challenging environments involving incarcerated individuals and correctional staff
Requirements
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently for in-person meetings and visits to correctional facilities, averaging 3 to 5 business days per month
- Experience working within or alongside state or local government agencies
- Track record of stakeholder engagement, cross-functional team management, and relationship management
- Background in account management, product management, political strategy, lobbying, business development, policy, or a similar field
- Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
