The company is currently seeking a Senior Social Media Manager to oversee organic social programs across a portfolio of clients. This position combines strategic planning with hands-on production, giving the practitioner autonomy over accounts from initial concept to performance analysis. Reporting directly to the Creative Director, the professional collaborates closely with internal cross-functional departments.
Ideal candidates possess a mix of strategic thinking and execution capabilities, comfortable moving from high-level planning to creating polished copy, short-form video, and visual assets. The role suits professionals who value repeatable processes, data-driven optimization, and active participation in improving operational workflows across the agency.
This is a full-time, fully remote position operating as an independent contractor. While location is flexible, working hours must align with U.S. Central Time, requiring availability until at least 2:00 PM CT daily.
Responsibilities
- Design monthly and campaign-specific social strategies aligned with client objectives and brand positioning
- Construct content calendars defining themes, content pillars, formats, and goals
- Draft platform-tailored copy including hooks, headlines, captions, and calls to action
- Produce static graphics, carousels, educational pieces, event creatives, and promotional materials
- Conceptualize and edit short-form videos such as Reels and repurposed long-form video content
- Publish and schedule approved content across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Onboard new accounts, configure profiles, transition existing pages, and manage client permissions
- Handle urgent account needs, including time-sensitive publishing or content removal
- Analyze monthly performance metrics to deliver actionable optimization recommendations
- Maintain brand consistency, accuracy, and quality across all social deliverables
- Contribute to the establishment of standardized workflows, templates, and best practices
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of professional background in social media, content marketing, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple brand accounts or client portfolios, preferably within an agency setting
- Strong capabilities in social strategy and editorial calendar planning
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Advanced copywriting and editing skills
- Solid visual design foundations covering typography, composition, hierarchy, spacing, and image selection
- Familiarity with AI-assisted image or video production tools
- Practical experience building and editing short-form social video
- Professional background managing Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Experience setting up social profiles, handling user permissions, and coordinating client access
- Proven ability to analyze organic social metrics and translate findings into practical recommendations
- Attention to detail with the ability to self-review work prior to submission
- Capacity to receive constructive feedback and apply requested revisions accurately
- Skill in managing concurrent client accounts, strict deadlines, and varied workflows
- Availability to work until at least 2:00 PM U.S. Central Time daily
- Familiarity with scheduling software, Meta Business Suite, Canva, video editing apps, analytics tools, spreadsheets, and project management platforms like ClickUp
- Experience utilizing generative artificial intelligence tools for research, ideation, and efficiency
