Stitch Fix is transforming the retail landscape by merging human styling creativity with sophisticated data science and generative AI. The company is currently hiring a remote, part-time Flex Tier Stylist to craft personalized shopping experiences and help clients build confidence in their personal style. In this role, you will use live and asynchronous messaging, chat, video, and an in-house styling platform to curate outfits tailored to individual preferences, body types, lifestyles, and occasions. You will interact with clients through a public-facing profile that features your photo and may be utilized in company marketing materials. Day-to-day duties involve evaluating client profiles, past purchases, and current inventory to assemble thoughtfully styled assortments while meeting performance and retention targets. You will also adopt new digital systems and AI-enabled tools to boost operational efficiency. This hourly position requires a weekly commitment of 10 to 20 hours with scheduling flexibility to match client demand. Applicants must reside outside of Alaska, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington, and all non-state U.S. territories.
Responsibilities
- Deliver expert fashion guidance across chat, video, messaging, and the proprietary styling platform
- Assemble curated merchandise assortments based on customer preferences, body types, goals, and available inventory
- Foster client relationships utilizing a public-facing profile that displays your photo
- Meet specific performance, productivity, and client retention benchmarks
- Engage in ongoing training, regular evaluations, and community feedback sessions
- Operate digital tools and adopt emerging AI features to streamline daily workflows
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of apparel or client-facing styling experience
- Track record of meeting or exceeding performance objectives in fast-paced settings
- Proficiency in working remotely where instructions and updates are delivered in writing
- Strong written communication skills for building virtual rapport
- Competency in styling across diverse gender identities, occasions, lifestyles, and body shapes
- Capacity to quickly learn and integrate new software tools and processes
- Familiarity with Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace applications including Gmail and Docs
- Reliable personal computer equipped with a Chrome browser and high-speed cable or fiber internet providing at least 10 Mbps
- Availability to fulfill the 10 to 20 hour weekly schedule with flexibility for client demand
- Willingness to maintain a public profile featuring your personal photo
Qualifications
- Background in delivering personalized styling or customer service via digital video, chat, or messaging channels
- Previous employment history within a remote, metrics-driven environment
- Prior exposure to or interest in utilizing AI-enabled technologies to enhance client results
