SGS Business Assurance is seeking a helideck inspector for a project-based subcontractor role supporting aviation safety and compliance work in the Netherlands and wider Europe. The role covers helideck inspections, friction testing, infrastructure assessment and written reports, and may include operator audits. Responsibilities
- Conduct helideck inspections and friction testing, then interpret the results
- Assess helideck infrastructure, markings, lighting, safety equipment and operational readiness
- Prepare inspection reports with findings, limitations and recommendations
- Support or conduct aviation operator audits and review safety management systems
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation
- Valid or previously held pilot licence or Licensed Aeronautical Maintenance Engineer licence (strict requirement)
- Strong technical reporting and stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to work independently as a subcontractor
Qualifications
- Formal aviation qualification
- Safety management system or audit training is advantageous
- Experience with CAP 437 and European aviation frameworks is advantageous
