Med-Metrix seeks a remote Supervisor, Accounts Receivable Services to oversee daily accounts receivable team operations, including staff training and inventory management. This full-time position requires medical experience and involves monitoring collection goals, conducting quality assurance reviews, tracking productivity, and handling internal and external client inquiries. The person in this role will also manage employee attendance, PTO, and disciplinary actions as needed, while collaborating with managers and directors to resolve identified issues.
Qualified candidates will handle sensitive patient data in strict compliance with HIPAA standards, ensuring that direct reports follow information security policies and limit the viewing of protected health information to the minimum necessary. The position requires adherence to security protocols, including the use of a smartphone or electronic device for multifactor authentication. Responsibilities
- Monitor and coordinate follow-up activities to ensure equitable work assignments and meet collection goals
- Perform weekly quality assurance reviews of team work and review staff productivity reports
- Provide weekly productivity updates to the Accounts Receivable Analyst
- Assist and resolve internal and external client inquiries
- Prepare and maintain necessary reports and logs
- Maintain knowledge of healthcare-related issues and regulations
- Identify operational issues and work with managers and directors toward resolution
- Provide staff training, monitoring, feedback, and disciplinary action as needed
- Track team attendance and paid time off usage
- Disable remote client access for terminated or transferred employees in a timely manner
- Enforce and comply with Information Security and HIPAA policies, including protecting patient health information
Requirements
- Medical experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a hospital business office or similar setting
- Experience in hospital facility billing and home infusion billing
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Possession of a smartphone or electronic device capable of downloading applications for multifactor authentication and security
