ScaleJet is hiring a full-time Supplier Sourcing & Procurement Specialist for a remote position. The employer operates a dynamic Amazon FBA enterprise that develops and scales brands globally across the USA, Canada, Europe, and the UK, focusing primarily on home and kitchen items as well as electronics. An international team of 17 professionals currently manages operations. In this role, the selected candidate manages all communications related to suppliers, discovers international production partners, secures competitive pricing, and negotiates agreements. The specialist collaborates directly with the Product Engineer to screen items and verify they satisfy quality control and laboratory testing benchmarks prior to onboarding any vendor.
Responsibilities
- Discover and research new global suppliers and manufacturing facilities with an emphasis on China, India, Israel, Indonesia, and Morocco
- Engage with current and prospective vendors to negotiate minimum order quantities, pricing, and production lead times
- Obtain and evaluate price quotations to achieve cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards
- Partner with the Product Engineer to assess potential items and guarantee adherence to quality control and lab testing mandates before supplier onboarding
- Examine and negotiate contracts in accordance with organizational policies and supply requirements
- Record and maintain clear documentation regarding vendor agreements, costs, and primary conditions
- Coordinate with internal colleagues to confirm sourcing strategies match organizational goals
- Monitor developments in industry trends, alternative materials, and regional manufacturing capabilities
Requirements
- Demonstrated background in procurement, supplier sourcing, or supply chain administration
- Background working specifically with factories in China
- Negotiation and communication abilities
- Capability to evaluate supplier dependability, pricing models, and manufacturing capacities
- Attention to detail coupled with organizational abilities
- Working knowledge of Google Sheets, Excel, and vendor management software
- Proficiency in the English language
