Job Description
Open Sky Group is seeking a Supply Chain Consultant - TMS to join their remote team. This full-time position involves implementing the Blue Yonder Transportation Management System for clients, designing tailored solutions, and helping organizations enhance their logistics network performance through strategic planning and process re-engineering.
The ideal candidate will combine transportation standards knowledge with technical expertise in the Blue Yonder platform. Responsibilities include gathering client requirements, producing functional design documents, collaborating with team members and clients, and managing project milestones.
The role requires authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship and involves up to 35% travel with overnight stays by car or airplane.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to analyze problems, opportunities, and risks while sharing industry best practices
- Engage through remote and in-person sessions to establish relationships and guide project lifecycles
- Create detailed functional design documents to capture client requirements
- Configure and execute unique client designs within the Blue Yonder TMS application
- Track progress and manage task deadlines using established project management tools
- Communicate status updates, successes, and blockers to teammates and managers
- Lead or participate in client project meetings while maintaining strict confidentiality
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with transportation, freight rates, logistics functional processes, and standard transportation transactions
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience utilizing Blue Yonder TMS
- Background working with Blue Yonder transportation products such as Transportation Manager, Transportation Modeler, Freight Order Management, Business Analytics, and Logistics Procurement
- Ability to travel up to 35% of the time by car or airplane including overnight stays
- Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Qualifications
- Experience configuring and executing multiple carrier modes including parcel, LTL, TL, ocean, intermodal, rail, and air
- Familiarity with connected fleet management technology and integrations like Lytx DriveCam, Geotab, TenStreet, Zonar, Eleos, and ThermoKing
- Knowledge of functional components such as Master Data Management, SmartBench, Jobs Server, Optimization, Carrier Tariffs, Events, Dock Scheduling, and Financials
- Technical familiarity with APIs, enterprise resource planning systems, shipping management software, visibility tools, warehouse management systems, business intelligence platforms, and financial systems
- Proficiency in SQL, XML, JSON, and electronic data interchange methods
