Job Description
Able is hiring a Technical Program Manager to drive AI and software programs from planning to launch. The role is 100% remote within Latin America. It suits someone who keeps work moving, owns timelines and dependencies, and can follow system design discussions well enough to push back when an estimate or integration does not add up.
The TPM maintains schedules, execution plans and milestones for one or more programs, and keeps the roadmap accurate as priorities change. The job covers coordinating dependencies among server-side, client-side, machine learning and data groups, catching blockers and integration gaps early, and reporting program health through sprint velocity, delivery metrics and launch readiness. The person supports senior TPMs on tougher tradeoff choices, alongside the hiring manager.
The posting presents the work as technical rather than purely managerial. The TPM should be comfortable following architecture discussions and reading tickets and diagrams, but is not expected to design the system. Success looks like programs staying organized with visible status, risks surfacing early, clear stakeholder communication, and steadily greater program ownership over time.
The company describes itself as a portfolio-model technology business that is becoming AI-native across every function, and it invests in AI training and knowledge sharing for its team. The posting asks for three to five years in TPM work, project coordination or a comparable cross-team role, plus strong English communication.
Responsibilities
- Run programs in AI and software from kickoff through execution to release.
- Own timelines, execution plans and cross-team alignment so commitments are met.
- Keep roadmaps, milestones and dependencies current as priorities move.
- Take part in planning and design discussions, understanding enough of the technical scope to track it.
- Coordinate handoffs and interfaces across backend, frontend, ML and data work.
- Spot obstacles, dependency conflicts and integration problems early and push them up to engineering leads.
- Measure program health through sprint velocity, milestone status and launch-readiness signals.
- Monitor risks, then work with engineering leaders to close them out.
- Produce precise progress reports that both engineers and business leaders can follow.
- Make sure notes, follow-ups and decisions are easy to find.
- Help senior TPMs keep partners and stakeholders informed.
- Improve how the team meets, writes things down and ships work.
Requirements
- Three to five years in TPM work, project coordination, or a comparable cross-team position within software companies.
- Comfortable in engineering conversations, interpreting system diagrams and issue trackers, and asking follow-up questions.
- Practical grasp of APIs, cloud fundamentals, source control, continuous integration and Agile methods.
- Basic grasp of AI and ML product ideas, including LLMs and how AI features move toward production.
- Background keeping software initiatives structured and timely, ideally in startups or consulting.
- Comfortable working in fast-changing settings where priorities shift and processes are still forming.
- Strong at tracking risks and dependencies, surfacing problems quickly.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Strong English, written and spoken.
- Hands-on Agile experience with common collaboration tools.
Qualifications
- Exposure to AI systems including retrieval-augmented generation, agent workflows, vector databases or prompt and evaluation pipelines.
- Experience supporting delivery of AI, ML or data-driven products.
- Consulting or client-facing project background.
- Solid technical background in computing or related disciplines.
- Practical use of work-tracking platforms like Jira, Linear, Notion or Asana.
- Scrum Master or Agile certification.
