Job Description
Kao EMEA & Americas is seeking a self-motivated Technical Sales Representative to operate out of a home office within an assigned territory. Operating as part of Washing Systems, LLC, a provider of commercial laundry detergents and chemical products for linen and uniform rental companies, this role involves serving as the primary face of the organization.
This position requires visiting client sites frequently to provide operational technical solutions, execute sales strategies through data analysis, and build relationships with management teams. The role suits individuals with mechanical aptitude, field service experience, and strong interpersonal and technical skills who thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Promote and sell the full product catalog to current clients
- Identify sales prospects, build relationships, and acquire new customers
- Maintain territorial sales coverage and manage service, maintenance, and communications for six to ten accounts
- Install and program chemical dosing equipment to interface with washing machines
- Plan and execute new installations and conversions within the region
- Maintain company-issued equipment in working order and operate inside a designated expense budget
- Collect past due accounts receivable and minimize product rush orders
- Submit reports in a timely manner
- Travel to and from customer plants for at least fifty percent of the time
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Mechanical, or a related field with one to two years of industry-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel, internet usage, and order processing software
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to twenty-five pounds
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands, talk, hear, and utilize close vision and focus adjustments
- Willingness to work in plant environments featuring wet or humid conditions, extreme heat, moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, chemicals, and varying noise levels
