Coins.ph is recruiting a Technology Lead in Manila to drive development of its high-performance exchange platform on a full-time hybrid basis. The role leads Java development of microservices-based systems, manages the software lifecycle from requirements to production, mentors developers and runs code reviews. It also covers KYC and fiat transaction integration with compliance teams and supports the company's global expansion across cultures.
Responsibilities
- Lead development and scaling of the exchange platform with a focus on performance and reliability.
- Design, implement and maintain Java-based microservices applications.
- Manage the software lifecycle from requirements gathering to production deployment.
- Mentor junior developers and run regular code reviews.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Java developer with a strong grounding in object-oriented design.
- Expertise in Spring Boot and Spring Cloud for microservices.
- Leadership experience in mentoring and guiding a development team.
- Strong knowledge of MySQL and NoSQL databases such as Redis, plus middleware such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Qualifications
- Experience with distributed system reliability, latency, security and data protection in crypto transactions.
- Proficient in spoken English, and Mandarin speaking and listening skills are a strong plus.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, Git and system performance optimization.
