Job Description

Iterative Health, a clinical research and healthcare technology business, runs more than 100 sites in Australia, India, Europe and the United States. Its studies cover gastroenterology, liver disease, obesity and heart disease, and it has roughly 250 staff, with main offices in Cambridge, Massachusetts and in New York City.

In this role, the rep builds fresh alliances with independent heart specialists and their practices within an assigned region. The role is physician-facing: it involves spotting prospects, earning the confidence of doctors and practice heads, and moving qualified leads toward membership. The representative owns the whole sales cycle, from first outreach and qualification through to signing the partnership.

Results are judged on the strength of the qualified pipeline, the quality of physician relationships and how reliably prospects convert into active partners. Daily work includes market mapping, account research, outreach by phone, email, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and in person, and keeping CRM records of activity and pipeline stage. Representatives also pass physician feedback and competitive intelligence back to the company.

Although the listing says remote, the posting describes a hybrid setup: two days a week in the office in New York City or Boston. Candidates bring two to four years in territory selling or business development aimed at doctors, or similar commercial roles. Selling to GI or cardiology offices is a strong plus. The New York pay range is $90,000 to $130,000 USD.

Responsibilities

  • Run sales to physicians and their practices inside a designated area
  • Reach out to solo physicians, medical groups and practice heads via calls, emails, Sales Navigator, conferences, referrals and face-to-face visits
  • Cultivate credibility with doctors and the decision-makers in their practices
  • Manage deals from first contact and qualification through negotiation and partnership execution
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline across the territory
  • Research the territory and rank physicians and practices by potential
  • Keep CRM records current, including activity, pipeline status and next steps
  • Track activity, pipeline growth and conversion against territory goals
  • Share market insight and competitive intelligence to guide network growth

Requirements

  • Between two and four years of selling or business development, ideally aimed at physicians
  • Proven success selling into physician practices
  • Record of building new physician relationships and converting prospects into network members
  • Effective outbound prospecting and new account acquisition
  • Skill in forging connections with doctors, practice owners, managers and health system leaders
  • Clear spoken and written communication that conveys a persuasive value proposition
  • Organized enough to manage a territory, a pipeline and multiple follow-ups at once
  • Willingness to travel within the territory

Qualifications

  • Background selling to GI or heart-care offices (highly valued)
  • Familiarity with CRM software and outreach tools such as Sales Navigator

  • Unlimited PTO, twelve holidays, and a company shutdown during the stretch between Christmas and New Year
