Trace3 seeks a Vice President of Services Operations to oversee the end-to-end execution of its professional services division. Operating as a transformative IT authority with over 1,200 employees nationwide and headquarters in Irvine, California, the company delivers unique technology solutions and consulting services. In this executive capacity, the individual will direct Services Sales Operations, Project Operations, Resource Management, Services Solutions, Contingent Staffing and Vendor Management, and the Project Management Office (PMO). Responsibilities include driving scalability, financial discipline, and operational excellence across the entire services lifecycle, from initial Statement of Work creation through project delivery and closure. The ideal candidate brings extensive background in operations, project management, and finance to guide strategic initiatives, change management, and continuous improvement efforts while partnering cross-functionally with executive leadership.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end operational execution of the services business from Statement of Work creation to project closure
- Oversee Services Sales Operations, Project Operations, Resource Management, Services Solutions, Contingent Staffing, Vendor Management, and the PMO
- Partner with Finance to ensure operational processes support strong financial governance, cash flow, bookings, margin performance, and revenue recognition
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of services-related systems including NetSuite, Skills Base, Smartsheet PPM, Smartsheet RM, Provus, and Conga
- Develop and execute the services partner strategy, managing primary staffing partner and sub-partner relationships
- Ensure Resource Managers align full-time and contingent resources with forecasted and booked demand to maximize utilization and profitability
- Deliver robust reporting and analytics regarding pipeline, bookings, revenue recognition, project health, and backlog
- Maintain the company services rate card and provide operational support for mergers and acquisitions
Requirements
- Minimum of ten years of experience in operations, project management, and/or finance
- Minimum of three years of leadership experience managing or directing team members
- Experience working for a technology or consulting company developing strategic business plans
- Familiarity with operational management software, data analysis tools, and enterprise resource planning systems
- Background in managing relationships with services and staffing partners and vendors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field
- Experience leading, managing, and inspiring a team of business process engineers and experts
- Demonstrated expertise in quality management, change management, and continuous improvement
