SimpleTiger seeks a Web Developer to join its team as a remote contractor on a part-time basis. The company operates as a B2B SaaS marketing agency, helping software firms expand through content marketing, SEO, paid media, and answer engine optimization. Client websites serve as the primary medium for these marketing efforts, requiring a developer who can swiftly transform strategic concepts and design ideas into functional, clean web pages.
As part of the delivery team, the contractor will focus on building, improving, and troubleshooting client web properties on WordPress and HubSpot. This involves translating marketing strategies, campaign concepts, and SEO recommendations into engaging web experiences while ensuring sites remain fast, accessible, and optimized. Candidates should possess strong technical skills in front-end development, API integrations, and code cleanup, along with the ability to manage tasks independently and communicate clearly through asynchronous channels.
Responsibilities
- Build, update, or troubleshoot client websites using WordPress and HubSpot CMS
- Implement technical fixes and improvements on live client sites while documenting test results and performance comparisons using Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, and Screaming Frog
- Connect and build forms, lead routing, and simple automations between client websites and marketing tools
- Configure and verify tracking integrations including Google Tag Manager, GA4, and HubSpot tracking in coordination with the SEO Manager
- Maintain site speed, accessibility, and SEO friendliness through image optimizations, clean markup, Core Web Vitals, and cache lifetime enhancements
- Provide timely and clear written status updates regarding active work tasks and live updates
Requirements
- U.S. based remote contractor
- Hands-on experience in WordPress development covering custom themes, child themes, page builders, blocks, and Advanced Custom Fields
- Experience with HubSpot CMS development including modules, HubL templates, themes, forms, and email templates
- Solid front-end development proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience working with WordPress REST API or HubSpot REST APIs, plus marketing tools and CRMs such as Zapier, Salesforce, Slack, n8n, and Airtable
- Familiarity with Screaming Frog for conducting technical audits and resolving issues on WordPress and HubSpot sites
- Ability to clean up codebases by identifying and removing unused or legacy JavaScript and CSS
- Strong time management skills for meeting deadlines, managing workloads autonomously, and communicating via Slack
Qualifications
- Webflow development and auditing experience with clean CMS structuring
- PHP development proficiency
- Prior work experience at a marketing agency or supporting B2B SaaS clients
- Familiarity with conversion best practices and SEO
- Experience utilizing Git and version control
