Job Description
One Acre Fund is hiring a senior people leader for its Zambia program, based in Kabwe, to own the people function and advise the COO on strategy. The program already employs more than 200 staff and is growing, so the role emphasizes learning and development alongside strong HR operations.
The leader designs learning programs such as workshops, bootcamps and onboarding systems, improves career paths and feedback loops, and coaches HR and corporate operations colleagues. The Deputy Country Manager is the direct supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Shape and deliver the people plan for Zambia, and oversee HR operations across headquarters and field teams
- Design learning and development programs such as workshops, bootcamps and onboarding systems
- Improve career paths, feedback loops and staff experience using performance data and field observations
- Coach HR and corporate operations colleagues, supporting their performance management
Requirements
- Background in guiding less experienced team members
- History of building training and capacity programs that lift performance
- Strong facilitation and project or program management skills
- Capacity to lead and deliver, with results as the priority
Qualifications
- Ability to use surveys, feedback and performance metrics to improve learning outcomes
