OEC Jobs 2026: How to Apply Online for Free (No Agent)

Short answer: To apply for OEC jobs in 2026, go to the official portal jobs.oec.gov.pk. For OEC's own government-run vacancies, create a free account, complete your profile, upload your CNIC, passport and education certificates, and apply. For the newer Global Jobs section you don't need an OEC profile or an agent: pick a vacancy and apply to the overseas employer directly. OEC says registering and applying on its official site are free. Some postings ask for a small one-off processing fee by bank challan, and the posting itself tells you about it.
Key takeaways
The Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) is Pakistan's government-owned recruitment agency, set up in 1976 under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development.
The only portal to use is jobs.oec.gov.pk. OEC's Global Jobs notice says you need "no OEC profile" and "no agent" to apply there.
OEC's official FAQ says registration and applying are 100% free. Some jobs carry a one-time processing fee, usually around Rs 500–1,000 by bank challan, and the online application states it.
General eligibility: Pakistani citizen, valid CNIC and passport, aged 18–45 depending on the job, medically fit, and at least Matric.
Never pay anyone who promises a "guaranteed" overseas job, and never hand your original documents to an unauthorised person.
What is OEC and how is it different from a private agent?
OEC is a state-owned enterprise under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development. It recruits Pakistani workers for foreign employers, mostly through government-to-government (G2G) arrangements. Its FAQ lists South Korea (under the Employment Permit System), Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Italy, Japan and Malaysia as key destinations. Healthcare, construction, manufacturing, agriculture, hospitality and IT/technical support are its main sectors.
Private recruiters are called Overseas Employment Promoters (OEPs), and the Bureau of Emigration & Overseas Employment (BEOE) licenses them. Some OEPs are legitimate and some are not. OEC is the public-sector option. That difference shows up on the portal too: OEC's portal statistics (last updated June 2026) count 883 OEC jobs against more than 262,000 OEP jobs. So read each listing to see whether OEC or a private promoter posted it.
Two ways to apply on the OEC portal
1. OEC jobs (government-run vacancies)
These are the vacancies OEC recruits for itself, often in batches for a single foreign employer, such as drivers for Kuwait or nurses for Saudi Arabia. The official FAQ describes the steps:
Go to jobs.oec.gov.pk and create an account with your own mobile number and email.
Fill in your profile: education, trade or profession, experience and languages.
Upload clear scans of your CNIC, passport and educational certificates, plus experience or trade certificates if you have them.
Open the current listings and read each advertisement's eligibility rules (age, qualification, experience, height or licence where relevant).
Apply. If the posting asks for a processing fee, pay it only by the official bank challan the portal generates.
2. Global Jobs (apply to employers directly)
An OEC public awareness notice in August 2026 introduced the Global Jobs section of the portal. It lets you apply to overseas employers yourself, with no OEC profile and no agent. The notice gives five steps:
Visit jobs.oec.gov.pk.
Click "Global Jobs".
Search for a job that matches your skills and qualifications.
Read the job description and eligibility criteria carefully.
Apply using the "Apply" option.
For Global Jobs, your CV does most of the work. A clear, one-to-two-page CV with your trade, years of experience and certificates gives you a much better chance. Our guide to the CV format for jobs in Pakistan explains how to lay one out.
Documents to keep ready
CNIC (valid, not expired)
Passport (check how long it remains valid; many employers ask for at least six months)
Matric and higher education certificates or degrees
Experience letters and trade or skill certificates (for example, from a TEVTA or NAVTTC institute)
Driving licence, if the job is a driving job
Recent passport-size photographs
An up-to-date CV in English
What happens after you are shortlisted?
For OEC-run recruitment, the process OEC describes usually goes like this:
Shortlisting on merit against the advertisement's criteria.
Interview or trade test, usually run by or for the foreign employer, online or in person.
Results announced on the portal and by email or SMS.
Medical examination at an approved (GAMCA) centre for Gulf jobs, then the visa.
Emigration clearance at the BEOE Protector of Emigrants office, where government emigration fees are paid. See our protector fee in Pakistan 2026 breakdown.
A pre-departure orientation, then the ticket and travel.
OEC says every worker it selects signs an official employment contract that sets out salary, duties, working hours and insurance. Read it before you sign, and keep a copy.
Korea jobs through OEC (EPS)
OEC is Pakistan's designated government body for Korea's Employment Permit System (EPS). According to OEC's FAQ, you register with OEC, pass the EPS-TOPIK Korean-language test, and then take a skills test. Only after that can a Korean employer select you. An OEC notice from August 2026 stresses that EPS is purely G2G, so no agent can promise you selection or a Korean work permit. OEC's Lahore office also runs Korean language classes. Check fees and batch dates directly with OEC, because they change from batch to batch.
Fees: what is free and what is not
Free: creating an account, registering and applying through the official OEC website (OEC FAQ).
Sometimes charged: a small one-time processing fee for specific postings, for example a Rs 500–1,000 bank challan, shown during the online application. OEC's January 2026 Kuwait driver recruitment, for instance, asked for a Rs 500 challan.
After selection: government emigration charges at the Protector's office (welfare fund, insurance, registration and similar), which BEOE publishes.
If anyone asks for cash, a "file charge" or payment to a personal bank or mobile-wallet account to "confirm" an OEC job, treat it as a scam.
How to avoid fake OEC job adverts and agents
OEC's own awareness notice warns job seekers:
Do not pay anyone for a guaranteed overseas job.
Do not pay an intermediary to submit your Global Jobs application.
Do not trust unofficial job adverts or WhatsApp messages.
Do not share personal details or portal login credentials with unknown people.
Do not hand over original documents to unauthorised individuals.
If you decide to use a private OEP instead, check that it holds a valid licence on BEOE's published list of OEPs at beoe.gov.pk, and ask to see the licence number. For technical help with the portal, OEC's helpdesk is UAN 0311-0011-632 or helpdesk@oec.gov.pk.
What this means for you
If you want to work abroad, OEC is the safest place to start, because the vacancy, the employer and the fee are all visible on a government portal. Create your profile now, so you can apply within hours when a batch you qualify for opens. Use Global Jobs to apply to overseas employers without paying a middleman. While you wait, you can also browse current openings on Jobsiz for jobs in Saudi Arabia, jobs in the UAE and jobs in Pakistan, or read our country guides to the Oman work visa and Poland work visa for Pakistanis.
Frequently asked questions
Is OEC registration free?
Yes. OEC says registration and the application process on its official website are 100% free. Some individual postings ask for a small one-time processing fee by bank challan (for example Rs 500–1,000), and the application shows it.
What is the official OEC jobs website?
The official job portal is jobs.oec.gov.pk, and the corporation's main site is oec.gov.pk. Ignore look-alike sites, Facebook pages and WhatsApp groups that claim to take OEC applications.
Do I need an agent to apply for OEC Global Jobs?
No. OEC's notice says Global Jobs needs no OEC profile and no agent. You search the listings and apply to the employer yourself through the "Apply" option.
What is the age limit for OEC jobs?
It depends on the job. OEC's general criteria cover ages 18 to 45, along with a valid CNIC and passport, medical fitness and at least Matric. Always check the individual advertisement.
Can I get a Korea job through OEC without EPS-TOPIK?
No. Under the EPS route you register with OEC, pass the EPS-TOPIK Korean test and then a skills test. No agent can bypass this or guarantee selection.
