Think Academy US is looking for part-time 1 on 1 Grades 1-4 Math Tutors to work remotely from anywhere in the United States. This position involves 15 to 20 hours of work per week, with an intended start date as soon as possible. In this role, the educator will conduct individual online mathematics tutoring sessions for lower elementary students. Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one virtual math classes for students in first through fourth grade across North America, following the Common Core State Standards framework
- Instruct learners in English using interactive and student-focused techniques to encourage participation, reinforce core concepts, and answer questions live
- Develop lesson materials tailored to each student's specific requirements to guarantee organized and effective teaching
- Deliver prompt evaluations and focused instruction to aid student comprehension and ongoing progress
- Apply patience, warmth, and adaptable communication approaches to maintain engagement and motivation among young elementary students
- Participate in paid training sessions designed to prepare educators for the role
Requirements
- Availability to work during weekday evenings and weekends according to U.S. time zones
- Ability to teach in English
Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor's degree or a higher level of education, with a preference for majors in Mathematics, Education, or related disciplines
- Possess prior teaching experience or hold an active teaching certificate
