This role is a full-time contract lasting one year, with potential for extension based on client requirements. The successful candidate will be placed with a client through a payroll platform.
This opportunity is suited for a proactive professional with strong communication abilities who can adapt to changes while keeping a close eye on details. The position involves hands-on daily technical execution rather than solely oversight and design.
Key tasks include constructing and maintaining data pipelines within Databricks, writing and refining Python and Spark SQL scripts, and collaborating closely with IT teams and developers. The chosen candidate will also implement CI/CD methodologies and DevOps practices, develop Power BI reports, and help shape data governance and data modeling standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain analytics solutions and data pipelines utilizing Databricks
- Develop and refine Python code and SQL queries, including Spark SQL
- Collaborate with developers and IT personnel to execute data analytics initiatives
- Implement CI/CD methodologies and DevOps practices for data workflows
- Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
- Contribute to data governance, data management, and data modeling standards
- Execute day-to-day technical tasks directly
Requirements
- At least 5 years of background working as a Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or in a related capacity
- Experience in software development and data analytics IT projects
- Practical coding skills in Python and SQL
- Familiarity with CI/CD methods and DevOps tools
- Extensive hands-on experience using Databricks
- Advanced user-level experience with cloud services and platforms
- Experience utilizing data visualization software like Power BI
- Solid knowledge of data management, data modeling, and data governance
- Business-level fluency in English
Qualifications
- Experience working with Spark SQL
- Exposure to ERP data, including SAP S/4HANA
