The (Senior) Consultant in accounting and reporting assurance at Africa Talent by Deloitte helps clients align their accounting and reporting with strategic goals while staying compliant and audit-ready. Duties include drafting position papers on complex issues such as restructurings, M&A and impairments under IFRS or NL GAAP, helping draft accounting manuals, and supporting financial and group reporting. The role also works as a specialist on audit engagements.
Responsibilities
- Draft position papers on complex accounting issues such as restructurings, M&A and impairments
- Help clients draft accounting manuals and apply accounting consistently
- Support financial and group reporting, audit preparation and annual accounts
- Act as a specialist team member on audit engagements for complex accounting topics
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in audit or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, with familiarity with NL GAAP and US GAAP an advantage
- Excellent spoken and written English
Qualifications
- Completed degree in accountancy, controlling, finance or economics, with eligibility to qualify as CA(SA) or CPA, or nearing completion of RA or ACCA
- Dutch is a plus
