Job Description
Karbon sells AI-powered practice management software to accounting firms, with customers in 40 countries. It is hiring an AI Operations Lead who reports to the CEO and works across every department. The job is to extend the company's current AI program, track what it returns and add the next capability. The posting values a working, governed system with clear numbers over a strategy document.
The first priority is a data gateway. The lead would turn Karbon's existing MCP server into a routing layer between Claude and internal data systems, with Okta sign-in, department-level access rules and request logs used for spend attribution and audits. After Security signs off, new connectors would be added through configuration. Later projects include a renewal-risk signal for Customer Success, a proposal drafting tool for Sales, a statement of work generator that flags scope creep for Implementation, and a ticket triage router for Support. Each tool is then handed to the team that will use and maintain it.
The role also manages Claude provisioning, connector security reviews with the Security team, and a spend dashboard that covers all AI tools rather than Claude alone. It includes an ROI framework, budget work with Finance, a champion network of fourteen department champions, an AI wiki, a shared library of prompts and skills, and a fixed-format executive report. Candidates should have recently shipped production software in Python or TypeScript with SQL and REST APIs, built a real product on a large language model, and worked directly with non-technical teams. Staff are located in the Philippines, the UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the US, and the posting does not name a single office.
