Job Description

Responsibilities

• Manage hardware SoC-level requirement mapping, traceability matrices, and technical analysis
• Develop and maintain Hardware Design Documentation, block diagrams, and system architecture specifications
• Provide schematic and layout inputs for hardware module design, including impedance profiles, stack-up constraints, and signal/power integrity mitigation strategies
• Create, optimize, and execute bring-up and validation plans for project samples
• Lead systematic debugging approaches and present root-cause analysis findings to stakeholders
• Develop Python scripts to automate bench measurements, parse register maps, and control laboratory instruments
• Contribute to project planning by defining engineering milestones, identifying technical risks, and estimating efforts
• Analyze silicon vendor errata sheets to create and implement workarounds
• Mentor team members on hardware, bring-up, and validation while helping divide system-level goals into technical tasks

Requirements

• Over 6 years of professional experience in embedded hardware engineering with technical leadership or mentorship background
• Practical experience with requirements management tools like IBM Rational DOORS, DNG, or PTC Codebeamer
• Experience using IBM Engineering Test Management for verification test suites
• Familiarity with high-speed interfaces including PCIe, LPDDRx, eMMC, UFS, and LVDS/MIPI
• Working knowledge of automotive communication networks such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN/FD, LIN, and Ethernet
• Hands-on use of diagnostic and debugging tools including Lauterbach Trace32, JTAG, and OpenOCD
• Proficiency in Python programming for test scripting and bench automation
• Ability to operate laboratory instruments such as digital storage oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Communication
