Job Description
Secfix is a rapidly expanding 36-person organization backed by a $12M Series A from Neosfer, Alstin Capital, and Bayern Capital. The company automates security compliance for European mid-market firms and small-to-medium businesses, helping them achieve standards like SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001, and TISAX within weeks instead of months. Secfix is hiring its first go-to-market backend engineer to construct and maintain the underlying systems that support account executives and business development representatives.
In this hands-on engineering position, you will replace fragmented tools with a centralized, scalable backend. You will design data pipelines, connect APIs, develop AI agents, and build internal services utilizing SQL and Python. Reporting to the Head of GTM while collaborating closely with the sales and engineering groups, you will take end-to-end ownership of your code, focusing on delivering reliable systems that reduce manual tasks for the sales team. This role is intended for recent graduates or early-career engineers with foundational backend capabilities who are eager to understand business drivers and create production-grade tools.
Responsibilities
- Design and build data pipelines to gather, deduplicate, clean, score, and sync contact and account information into the CRM
- Establish the central database and data model connecting product, outreach, and CRM layers
- Integrate internal and third-party tools via webhooks and REST APIs, alongside building custom internal services
- Develop lead scoring, signal detection, routing mechanisms, and alerts for the sales team
- Construct AI-powered agents and tools to streamline research, proposal creation, and CRM updates
- Deploy, schedule, monitor, and maintain production systems with proper logging, error handling, retries, and rate limits
- Investigate technical issues, trace root causes, implement solutions, and document the process
Requirements
- Recent graduate or early-career professional with zero to two years of experience in Computer Science or a related engineering field, backed by a strong academic record
- Minimum of one year of backend experience gained through internships or a full-time role in a startup setting
- Solid proficiency in Python or another backend programming language, SQL, and data modeling
- Demonstrated background in building and consuming REST APIs as well as utilizing webhooks
- Familiarity with running production code, including testing, debugging, Git deployment, scheduling, and logging
- Practical experience using LLM APIs and AI coding tools like the Claude API or Claude Code
- Availability to maintain a minimum four-hour overlap with CET time zone requirements
Qualifications
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services
- Experience working with a data warehouse
- Prior exposure to a CRM and its associated APIs
- Acquaintance with go-to-market tools such as Clay
