Carrot is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to support its growing data function from a remote location. Carrot operates a global fertility and family care platform, connecting over a thousand employers, health plans, and health systems with millions of members across 195 countries. In this remote position, the analyst will serve as an essential resource for data analytics, building reporting dashboards, processing recurring and ad hoc requests, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and the data engineering group. The position involves working directly with stakeholders to translate business questions into actionable, trustworthy insights while driving self-service BI capabilities and data quality. Responsibilities
- Design and build reliable SQL data models focusing on correctness, clarity, and reusability
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports tracking key business metrics for company-wide decision-making
- Handle ad hoc analytics inquiries from internal stakeholders
- Partner with various company teams to understand data domains, success metrics, and reporting requirements
- Contribute to data documentation, quality maintenance, and self-service BI scaling
Requirements
- Intermediate to advanced SQL capabilities, including common table expressions, joins, and window functions
- Practical experience utilizing data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Looker, DOMO, or Power BI
- Foundational understanding of statistics including hypothesis testing, experiment design, probability, and distributions
- Ability to translate complex business intelligence needs into technical execution and clear presentations
- Strong communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical audiences alike
Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree
- Experience transforming, testing, and documenting data via dbt
- Background working in regulated data environments or the healthcare industry
- Prior experience operating in a high-growth company setting
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
- Understanding of effective data modeling strategies and implementations
