This individual contributor role acts as a connective tissue between leadership in Finance, HR, and Supply Chain and the engineering teams building supporting software. The scope covers multiple distinct domains including financial close and reporting, procurement, tax, supply chain operations, hardware fulfillment, human resources operations, and sales compensation administration. This position suits an experienced professional who can establish consistent standards, facilitate working sessions, map processes, write technical requirements, and manage adoption without holding direct authority over the underlying business functions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a detailed L2 and L3 capability decomposition for Record to Report, Tax Compliance, Procure to Pay, Supply Chain Operations, hardware fulfillment, Hire to Retire, and Sales Compensation Management.
- Facilitate structured workshops with stakeholders across Finance, HR, Procurement, and Supply Chain to map current and future-state workflows.
- Translate future-state designs into system requirements and partner with Product Owners and Engineering Leads through build, design, and testing phases.
- Support parallel delivery tracks for in-production systems and next-generation platform builds while ensuring lessons learned feed back into documentation.
- Manage change initiatives, stakeholder impact assessments, readiness planning, training materials, and post-launch process metric verification.
- Maintain documented agreements at shared boundaries with peer Business Process Leads.
- Own capability design for sales compensation from quota approval through crediting, calculation, dispute resolution, accrual, and payroll handoff.
- Own capability design for hardware fulfillment including provisioning, warehouse management, returns, and warranty, alongside Hire to Retire onboarding and helpdesk operations.
Requirements
- Bring hands-on experience designing or improving month-end close and record-to-report workflows in a multi-entity ERP environment.
- Possess at least 5 years of professional background in business process design, business analysis, business architecture, or operations.
- Demonstrate experience decomposing business capabilities into detailed, multi-level structures.
- Display strong facilitation skills with cross-functional business stakeholders, including experience working with Controllers or Finance directors.
- Show the ability to translate business process specifications into system requirements for a technical delivery team alongside strong documentation habits.
Qualifications
- Experience with physical fulfillment and supply chain process design covering warehouse, inventory, returns, and warranty management.
- Background in sales compensation process design including plan administration, crediting, attainment, dispute resolution, and commission accounting.
- Experience with procure-to-pay process design encompassing intake, approvals, supplier onboarding, and three-way match controls.
- Familiarity with direct tax processes and statutory reporting in a multi-jurisdiction environment.
- Exposure to HR operations process design such as onboarding, self-service, helpdesk operations, and performance cycle management.
- Experience with treasury and cash management process design.
- Familiarity with Oracle modules, NetSuite, Oracle EPM, close management tools like FloQast, and incentive compensation platforms such as CaptivateIQ.
