Sezzle is looking for a Chargeback Operations Intern to join its remote team on a full-time basis. The company offers installment plans designed to make shopping accessible while boosting merchant sales through higher conversion rates. In this role, you will evaluate and resolve ACH and card disputes filed against the company, operating closely with the customer disputes and fraud teams to support users.

Responsibilities involve investigating individual transactions, identifying transaction trends, managing case queues within designated timelines, and proposing process enhancements to management. Candidates must be comfortable working full-time from Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm Central Time.

Essential daily tasks include coordinating cross-functionally with data science, engineering, and operations teams to improve loss prevention mechanisms and tools. Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve disputed credit card, debit card, and ACH transactions within designated timeframes
- Collaborate across departments including fraud and disputes to determine appropriate case resolutions
- Analyze account patterns and individual transactions using internal methodologies and policies
- Work with engineering, data science, and operations specialists to enhance loss prevention tools and processes
- Maintain domain expertise regarding fraud prevention technologies and techniques
- Meet established service level agreements for queued case resolution to limit potential financial losses
- Manage escalations from internal and external stakeholders efficiently and professionally
- Propose process and scaling improvements to management
Requirements
- Work full-time hours from Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm Central Time
- Demonstrated experience using Claude or equivalent large language model tools
- Comfort leveraging AI to support communication, research, and productivity
- Experience analyzing data and making decisions in fast-paced environments
- Attention to detail with multitasking abilities
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and business judgment skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after training
