This remote position operates in a distributed work environment where professionals assist worldwide enterprises in adopting modern private cloud infrastructure, Linux operations, and open source software.
This multifaceted role combines the duties of a solutions architect, consultant, and software developer. Candidates will help organizations design private and public cloud environments, deploy technologies hands-on, transition completed systems to support teams, and write Python code for Kubernetes operators and infrastructure-as-code. It is an ideal position for software developers who enjoy solving complex customer problems through architecture, presentations, and training.

Responsibilities
- Manage tasks across the entire Linux stack including the kernel, storage, networking, and applications
- Design and deliver open source code utilizing Python
- Architect cloud infrastructure solutions such as Kubernetes, OpenStack, Spark, Hadoop, and Ceph for on-premises or public cloud platforms including Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure
- Mentor colleagues and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture
- Engage in international travel for internal and external events up to 25 percent of the time
Requirements
- Sound knowledge of cloud computing concepts and technologies such as Ceph, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, and GCP
- Practical experience with Linux and networking
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Python programming
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English
- Organizational skills with the ability to reliably follow up on commitments
