Job Description
Reddit, Inc. operates a major online platform where millions of daily visitors participate in tens of thousands of active communities focused on diverse shared interests. To support global expansion outside the United States, the International Community team seeks a strategic Community Manager specializing in the French market. This remote contract role is open to applicants located in the United Kingdom or Ireland.
The person in this role will spearhead efforts to launch and nurture local user bases, engage volunteer moderators, and refine international growth strategies. Responsibilities include analyzing market data, collaborating with internal departments such as Product and Marketing, and developing conversion funnels to bring in power users and creators. Ideal candidates bring significant professional experience in community development or operations alongside a strong understanding of French culture and digital ecosystems.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the French market to identify local opportunities, challenges, and user behavior
- Refine and scale the international consumer growth playbook by testing new ideas and programs
- Build strategic recruitment and education plans to grow local moderator communities
- Execute a conversion funnel that transitions external creators and power users into active moderators
- Track qualitative and quantitative metrics to set key performance indicators and influence team direction
- Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Marketing, Safety, and Business Development teams
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in growth, project management, operations, community development, or product consulting
- Demonstrated history of driving business impact through community-led initiatives
- Comprehensive knowledge of French culture, current events, politics, language, customs, and internet culture
- Fluent proficiency in both French and English
- Ability to communicate persuasively with internal teams, external partners, and volunteer moderators
- Availability to base the contract in the United Kingdom or Ireland
