Affirm is seeking a Compliance Lead, Testing to support critical elements of its compliance management program. Operating as part of the second line of defense, this full-time role involves implementing the compliance testing program, executing reviews against federal and state regulations, identifying regulatory gaps, and partnering across departments to resolve issues.
This position suits professionals with a background in compliance testing or audit who can manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include conducting end-to-end testing, collaborating with legal and product teams, and coordinating compliance risk assessments.
Affirm operates as a remote-first company with flexibility, though some roles may require occasional in-person office work and a new hire onboarding experience. Responsibilities
- Perform ongoing compliance testing and reporting regarding adherence to regulations and the compliance program
- Collaborate with departments such as Legal, Risk, and Product during compliance reviews
- Partner with management to propose and identify process improvements that strengthen internal controls
- Coordinate the execution of compliance risk assessments and control inventories
- Serve as a regulatory compliance subject matter expert for new and revised services and products
- Continuously improve internal processes connected to the Compliance Testing Program
Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of professional work experience in audit or compliance testing
- Demonstrate knowledge of financial services, regulatory trends, and applicable laws
- Possess experience completing end-to-end compliance testing activities
- Show strong project management, critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills
