The individual will work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Product teams to navigate regulatory challenges and establish durable fixes for compliance issues.

Responsibilities
- Manage compliance advisory for the Affirm Card program spanning onboarding, marketing, digital wallets, checkout, disputes, and servicing.
- Review and approve user experience designs, disclosures, and promotional materials for regulatory and consumer protection standards.
- Conduct root-cause analyses for card compliance issues to implement lasting resolutions.
- Collaborate with Risk, Legal, and Compliance Testing to support regulatory examinations and bank audits.
- Update and maintain the compliance risk assessment and control inventory for the card program.
- Create and deliver compliance training and reference materials focused on card regulations.
- Identify risks early in product development and act as the primary compliance expert for new card features.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of compliance advisory experience in financial services with a Bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a Master's degree, or 3 years with a PhD.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of TILA, the CARD Act, and EFTA concerning card offerings.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently in fast-moving environments and make risk-based decisions with partial information.
- Background in steering issues from root-cause analysis through sustainable remediation.
- Experience advising and building credibility with Product, Operations, and Engineering stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Relevant compliance certifications.
- Practical familiarity with UDAAP and TISA.
- Hands-on experience working directly with Visa, Mastercard, or other card network rules.
