Job Description
SGS is hiring a Conformance Analyst - TCT4 to guarantee the accurate and prompt delivery of Certificates of Conformity that align with the productivity and quality goals of the Certification Center. This position involves evaluating product and exporter risk, determining essential product requirements, and applying relevant standards based on business rules, conformity assessment instructions, and process workflows. The analyst offers technical opinions regarding product classification, standards, and certification, while also helping resolve complex cases and inquiries by leveraging specialized commodity knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Ensure correct and timely issuance of Certificates of Conformity meeting Certification Center productivity and quality targets
- Assess product and exporter risk levels
- Identify essential product requirements and applicable standards using business rules and conformity assessment instructions
- Provide quality and technically-based opinions on product classification, standards, and certification
- Help resolve standards, classification, and certification cases and address related inquiries utilizing technical expertise
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent professional qualification
- Knowledge related to the field of expertise such as product design, manufacturing, testing, product research, and specifications
Qualifications
- Background in toys, medical devices, paper, packaging, or textiles
- Experience with conformity assessment including accreditation systems, product certification, product testing, inspection protocols, and industrial metrology
- Familiarity with industrial standardization concepts and international standards development such as ISO, IEC, EN, ANSI, and ASTM
- Knowledge of quality management systems like ISO 9001, ISO 22000, or ISO/TS 16949
- Background in the QA/QC textile industry
