This permanent, full-time position centres on producing consolidated financial statements under IFRS for a portfolio of consumer travel brands encompassing multiple legal entities, countries, and currencies.
Working closely with local finance teams, external auditors, and group functions, the occupant will manage workstreams end-to-end and report directly to the Head of Department. Key duties include managing intercompany calculations, executing monthly reconciliations of financial statements, drafting technical accounting memoranda, reviewing subsidiary reporting packages in Tagetik, and supporting impairment testing and financial modelling. The ideal candidate thrives in a small, collaborative team environment, balances technical IFRS expertise with practical fluency in AI tools, and demonstrates advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
The role is offered on a hybrid basis from Chiasso or as fully remote from Romania or Spain, with very limited travel required. Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute monthly reconciliations of consolidated ledger accounts and financial statements
- Calculate consolidation adjustments and intercompany transactions following Group Transfer Pricing policies
- Reconcile the Group Net Financial Position monthly and account for long-term incentive plans
- Review reporting packages submitted by local finance managers through Tagetik
- Contribute to IAS 36 Impairment Test preparations and update interim and annual disclosures
- Draft technical accounting memoranda covering IFRS topics and non-recurring transactions
- Build and maintain internal controls over financial reporting processes and documented procedures
- Manage standard communications with external auditors and consultants under supervision
Requirements
- At least three years of professional experience in technical accounting and financial reporting within a large multinational group, audit firm, or consultancy
- Deep knowledge of consolidation rules, techniques, and IFRS
- Professional-level written and spoken English proficiency
- Practical fluency in AI tools such as Claude combined with critical judgment for output verification
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities including pivot tables, lookups, and large datasets
- Working proficiency in Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets
- Legal authorization to work in the country of employment without requiring visa sponsorship
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in accounting or finance
- Prior audit experience obtained at a Big 4 firm
- Working knowledge of Tagetik or comparable financial consolidation software
