Job Description
Smartsheet is combining human teams with AI agents to help people manage work and scale solutions. The company is currently hiring a Content Designer II to join its team on a full-time, remote basis for candidates residing in Costa Rica. In this role, the successful candidate will report to the Director of Content and Globalization located in the United States.
The Content Designer II will work with cross-functional groups to shape how users interact with artificial intelligence features and platform-wide capabilities. Key duties involve designing conversational interfaces, creating prompt-based interactions, and ensuring AI-generated text is clear, ethical, and helpful. The position also entails establishing content strategies, maintaining navigation hierarchies, and educating teams on best practices for UX content and AI communication.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to design conversational interfaces, prompt-based interactions, and AI-generated outputs
- Co-create product content alongside design and product management to meet user needs and business objectives
- Apply and evolve content strategies, guidelines, and processes by producing content audits, research-driven frameworks, and user personas
- Design clear navigation and content hierarchies to help users manage complex data and workflows
- Educate cross-functional partners regarding Content Design best practices and the ethical implications of AI communication
- Stay informed on emerging trends in UX, Human-Centered Design, and Generative AI
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Content Strategy, Content Design, or UX Writing within a software development organization
- Experience or a deep, demonstrated interest in designing for AI and machine learning features, including prompt engineering and model personality
- Proficiency in Figma and working experience within a robust design system
- Ability to create content that scales globally and translates across different cultures and languages
- Reside in Costa Rica to fulfill remote work eligibility requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Track record of utilizing user research to inform content decisions
