Mozilla seeks a Contract Staff Software Engineer to join the Firefox Layout team. In this position, the engineer handles ongoing maintenance and routine engineering tasks within the Layout area, encompassing CSS, page layout, APZ, text, and images. Operating autonomously at a tech-lead level, the professional ensures the Layout code remains healthy, resolves bugs and regressions, maintains green test statuses, and processes incoming issues across multiple platforms including Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android. By managing day-to-day upkeep and code reviews, the contractor enables full-time engineers to concentrate on critical security and performance projects, while also participating in planning, standards, and web-compatibility meetings.

Responsibilities
- Manage daily Layout maintenance by addressing bugs, handling regressions, and processing incoming issues
