Job Description

Abnormal AI is growing quickly and runs a strategic events program aimed at security leaders, including CISOs and practitioners. This full-time, remote Corporate Events Specialist role supports strategic events across EMEA, covering the major outside events, the company's own flagship gatherings and high-profile executive meetings. The specialist works across several markets and time zones.

The role is an individual contributor position with a lead part in some of the largest flagship events and general support for the wider team. The specialist runs established event formats independently and applies judgment within known processes, checking with the manager on anything new or unprecedented.

Day-to-day work covers logistics and project ownership from start to finish, including room blocks, catering, swag, staff schedules and promotional assets. The specialist coordinates with venues, agencies, hotels, couriers and event organizers, finds and vets suppliers, prepares run-of-show documents and backup plans, and plans invitations, registrations and attendee communications market by market.

The role also helps map EMEA events onto the yearly calendar, tracks budgets, raises purchase orders, and handles on-site execution, including leading staff orientations and directing contract event staff. After each event, the specialist handles reporting, lead status updates and retrospectives. Travel is roughly 40 to 50 percent, mostly within EMEA, with some APAC and Americas trips and evening or weekend work around live events.

Responsibilities

  • Manage event logistics from start to finish and lead several projects at once
  • Coordinate with venues, agencies, event organizers, hotels and couriers
  • Find and vet agencies, venues, production partners and vendors
  • Prepare run-of-show documents, timelines and backup plans for concurrent events
  • Plan invitations, registration and attendee communications market by market
  • Help map EMEA events onto the calendar, weighing investment against pipeline goals
  • Track event budgets, raise purchase orders and submit invoices
  • Lead on-site execution and staff orientations at events the specialist owns
  • Handle post-event admin, reports and lead status updates
  • Run retrospectives and share playbooks with regional and global peers

Requirements

  • Two to four years of B2B events or experiential marketing experience
  • Experience owning repeatable event formats from first step to last
  • Experience running executive programs such as dinners, roundtables and advisory boards, plus larger conferences or trade shows
  • Multi-market EMEA experience and comfort across time zones
  • Strong program management habits and growing independence on routine work
  • Budget, vendor and contract management across several workstreams
  • Ability to work alongside sales, SDR/BDR and marketing groups and present event returns using registration, pipeline and engagement figures
  • Willingness to travel roughly 40 to 50 percent, including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

  • Cybersecurity or enterprise software experience (a plus, not required)
  • An additional European language
  • Familiarity with account-based marketing and target-account event strategies
  • Experience with tools such as Asana, Allocadia, Coupa, Cvent, Salesforce, Splash and RainFocus
