Bright Vision Technologies, an enterprise solutions, data, cloud, and artificial intelligence consulting and software development firm operating across the United States, is hiring a full-time Data Center Virtualization Engineer. This position is 100% remote within the United States. The person in this role will build, configure, and maintain software-defined storage, software-defined networking, and virtualization platforms based on VMware for hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructures. The position centers on vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Tanzu, and Aria, emphasizing capacity tracking, task automation, and managing large-scale VMware environments alongside cloud-native systems. This position suits an engineering professional experienced with enterprise-scale VMware systems, operational discipline, and practical automation skills. The compensation package spans between $100,000 and $150,000 per year on a direct W2 employment basis. Eligible work authorization includes U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates, while new H-1B visa sponsorships are unavailable.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and operate VMware-based virtualization platforms across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments
- Manage software-defined storage and software-defined networking infrastructures
- Work with vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, NSX, Aria, and Tanzu technologies
- Focus on capacity management, system automation, and operational duties for large VMware estates alongside cloud-native workloads
- Apply troubleshooting skills across storage, network, and compute layers
Requirements
- At least six years of professional experience
- Five or more years of hands-on VMware platform engineering experience
- Deep expertise in vCenter, vSphere, and ESXi
- Practical background using vSAN and storage policy management
- Familiarity with NSX-T or NSX-V networking
- Strong PowerCLI scripting abilities and familiarity with automation tools
- Working knowledge of VMware container platforms or Tanzu Kubernetes Grid
- Understanding of disaster recovery patterns and SRM
- Excellent collaboration and communication capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- VMware Certified Professional or VCAP credentials
- Background utilizing AVS, GCVE, or VMware Cloud on AWS
- Familiarity with VMware Cloud Foundation
- Experience using Aria Operations or vRealize Operations
- Exposure to migration initiatives moving away from VMware to alternative virtualization systems
