Databricks seeks a Delivery Solutions Architect specializing in Oil & Gas for a remote position. Databricks functions as a data and AI organization, providing a unified platform utilized by over 20,000 global entities, including a significant portion of the Fortune 500, to scale data and artificial intelligence applications, analytics, and agents.

This hybrid position combines commercial acumen with technical leadership. The selected candidate will partner with sales and field engineering teams to fuel platform adoption and growth among key accounts. Responsibilities center on guiding complex customers through post-sale execution, ensuring technical accountability, facilitating successful workload deployments, and maximizing return on investment. The individual will act as the primary technical point of contact for agreed-upon production use cases, orchestrating internal specialist teams, navigating product engineering groups, and reporting key performance indicators to leadership.

Ideal candidates will bring extensive background in technical project delivery within data and artificial intelligence sectors, coupled with customer-facing experience and programming capabilities. The role requires strategic oversight of deployment roadmaps, resolution of complex technical escalations, and the capacity to travel up to thirty percent of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales and field engineering teams to accelerate platform adoption and expansion across assigned accounts
  • Lead post-technical win strategies and execution plans for strategic customer use cases
  • Serve as the accountable technical leader for specific workloads, driving onboarding, enablement, production go-live, and healthy consumption
  • Act as the primary contact for technical inquiries and production issues related to agreed-upon use cases
  • Coordinate with shared services, support resources, and professional services to build and execute deployment plans
  • Engage with product and engineering groups to manage new innovations, private previews, and upgrade requirements
  • Establish comprehensive execution plans covering user growth, lakehouse vision adoption, organic investment needs, and governance
  • Report key performance indicators regarding usage status, customer health, investment tracking, and risk management to the Technical General Manager

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience accountable for technical project or program delivery within data and AI domains
  • Programming background in Python, SQL, or Scala
  • Background in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, customer success, or consulting capacity
  • Familiarity with solution architecture surrounding distributed data systems
  • Demonstrated ability to tie business value and outcomes to specific project deliverables
  • Experience handling technical program or project management, covering account, stakeholder, and resource management
  • Track record of resolving complex escalations involving senior customer executives
  • Ability to conduct discovery workshops, design strategic roadmaps, and manage complex program delivery
  • Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding quotas, goals, or objective targets
  • Availability to travel up to 30 percent when necessary
