Job Description
insightsoftware, which builds software for reporting, analytics and performance management, is hiring a Director of Commercial Operations for its Reporting business unit. The role is remote and reports to the General Manager. It oversees pipeline health, deal speed and forecast accuracy across regions and channels in a sales motion built on volume and programs.
The director combines pipeline and forecast data across regions, products and channels to give the General Manager weekly plan-versus-actual views. The job watches bookings, pipeline, win rates, deal speed and average selling price across products and regions, while noting regional and channel differences. The director spots at-risk deals and groups of accounts, pushes blockers upward and proposes fixes to sales leaders.
The role works with sales leadership, business development, account management and GTM groups to build and track adoption of plays such as land-and-expand, vertical expansion and partner channels. It also means reviewing execution against quarterly and annual plans, adjusting tactics and resources, coordinating with enablement so sellers and channel partners are equipped, and raising cross-functional constraints such as solution engineering capacity.
Ideal applicants bring seven to ten years in sales ops, revenue ops or related work inside high-volume B2B SaaS, having run that work across several regions or routes to market. Solid analysis and charting ability, comfort with SQL, BI platforms and Excel pivots, and the knack for explaining data to technical and non-technical audiences are expected. Background in inside sales or large transactional deals is welcome. The base salary range is $160,000 to $201,000 USD per year, with 80 percent base and 20 percent variable pay linked to bookings and pipeline accuracy for Reporting.
