The organization is currently searching for a Director of Finance Systems to lead the technological infrastructure supporting financial reporting and accounting operations.
In this position, you will direct the financial close processes toward greater speed and automation. The scope of work encompasses core finance platforms including NetSuite, Ramp, Zip, and FloQast, alongside revenue reporting tools. You will act as the project manager for system updates and launches, coordinate with the Engineering department to integrate financial needs early, establish IT general controls and financial system controls, and define the strategy for artificial intelligence adoption within the Accounting group. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across FP&A, Procurement, Product, Analytics, and Financial Operations.
This opportunity is well-suited for an experienced systems professional with a strong background in ERP administration, accounting technology, and control implementation in a scaling enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage core financial platforms such as NetSuite, Ramp, Zip, FloQast, and revenue reporting instruments
- Direct project management for new system implementations and updates
- Collaborate with the Engineering department to ensure financial requirements are built into systems from the beginning
- Establish the strategy for AI utilization, agent deployment, NetSuite integration, and audit readiness within Accounting
- Build out IT general controls and financial systems controls to support business scaling
- Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Financial Operations, Procurement, Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams
Requirements
- Over 10 years of professional background in finance systems, accounting systems, or ERP administration, including hands-on management of NetSuite in an expanding business
- Direct experience leading at least one financial system implementation or post-go-live stabilization from requirements gathering through testing, cutover, and ongoing support
- Practical background in designing, implementing, or maintaining IT general controls for financial reporting systems within an audit-ready setting
- Experience owning or governing a chart of accounts and constructing reports or saved searches within NetSuite or a comparable ERP
- Demonstrated history of collaborating with Accounting, Procurement, and Engineering or Product departments to translate business needs into workflows and integrations
- Ability to articulate technical concepts, risks, and trade-offs clearly to non-technical peers both verbally and in writing
Qualifications
- Experience building or deploying AI agents or automated workflows in finance or accounting environments, including permissions, human reviews, and audit logging
- Background implementing or administering procurement or spend platforms such as Zip, Coupa, or Ramp
- Familiarity with healthcare billing or revenue cycle systems encompassing claims, remittances, and contractual adjustments
- Practical understanding of SQL or SuiteQL, along with planning and reporting tools like Pigment or Hex
- Credentials including NetSuite Administrator certification, ERP Consultant certification, CPA, or CISA
- Previous work history in a high-growth startup or digital health organization
