Job Description
HackerOne has a remote opening for a Director of Total Rewards, Systems and Analytics. The position is aimed at people on the West Coast in Pacific time, typically within roughly 50 miles of San Francisco, and it names hiring hubs in the Bay Area, Austin and Seattle. The director oversees three functions: rewards design, People Systems and People Analytics.
The director sets a multi-year plan for pay, benefits, equity and the Workday HR platform, decides pay bands and job leveling, and manages annual pay, bonus and equity planning. Building a People Analytics practice that tracks headcount, turnover, pay fairness and engagement is part of the scope, along with the Workday roadmap and firm data controls over compensation records.
Working alongside Finance, Legal and senior executives, the director covers pay fairness, budgeting and staffing plans, board and executive pay materials, and compliance across several regions. The role also involves developing managers into future People leaders and reshaping HR processes so they draw on AI.
Requirements include twelve or more years in total rewards, compensation or analytics, five or more years of leadership that includes managing other managers, hands-on ownership of Workday or a comparable HRIS, and a record of producing workforce reports that executives depend on. Preferred experience includes executive or board pay, multi-country reward design such as US and India, and benchmarking through Radford or Pave. No salary figure is given in the posting. Listed benefits cover medical, vision and dental insurance, life and disability insurance, stock options, retirement plans, holidays, unlimited PTO, parental leave and an employee assistance program.
