Job Description

CleanSpark operates as a data center developer in the United States, managing a portfolio exceeding 1.8 GW across land, power, and data centers. The organization is currently seeking a Document Control Manager to oversee the document-governance framework specifically for its AI data center portfolio. This remote position suits an experienced records professional who can ensure that all commercial, turnover, design, and construction records remain traceable, current, complete, and accessible to authorized personnel.

In this capacity, the individual will define document standards and manage project management information system workflows, collaborating closely with external partners, contractors, consultants, customers, and internal departments. Responsibilities include governing document life cycles, establishing data room protocols, enforcing project closeout standards, and training users across organizations. CleanSpark functions as an Equal Opportunity Employer and may incorporate AI tools to assist the recruitment team during application review, though human judgment retains final hiring authority.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain document-control procedures, metadata rules, naming standards, retention policies, and access permissions.
  • Manage the controlled movement of project documentation, including drawings, contracts, submittals, requests for information, and meeting records.
  • Oversee daily system workflows such as approvals, routing, distribution, reporting, and audit trails.
  • Track document deliverables and review cycles to resolve incomplete or overdue items with project teams.
  • Keep design-deliverable registers updated and ensure approved or issued-for-construction packages are accessible.
  • Establish standards for site diligence, transactions, and stage gates within data rooms.
  • Enforce turnover and closeout requirements for operations and maintenance manuals, permits, as-built drawings, warranties, and commissioning logs.
  • Preserve records to support commercial decisions, audits, claims, and regulatory obligations.
  • Train external and internal stakeholders on system usage and document-control policies.
  • Collaborate across company departments to enhance information quality and document workflows.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of progressive records-management, document-control, or project-information-management experience for major capital construction programs.
  • Demonstrated background in setting up document-control standards and governing construction and design records across multiple projects or delivery partners.
  • Practical experience using a construction document management or PMIS platform like Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Aconex, Oracle Primavera Cloud, Unifier, or a similar system.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction closeout rules, audit trails, revision control, transmittal workflows, and document life cycles.
  • Ability to travel to partner locations and project sites as needed.
  • Insurability under the company vehicle insurance policy if operating a company vehicle or traveling between job sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, information management, or a related field, or an equivalent mix of education and relevant work experience.
  • Background supporting industrial, utility, power, data center, or mission-critical construction programs.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Primavera Cloud or Unifier alongside transitioning document controls from implementation partners to internal teams.
  • Experience managing closeout, turnover, and commissioning records for active facilities.
  • Professional certification in records management, document control, information management, or project management.
