To support this mission, the company seeks an Employer Client Account Manager to oversee daily client management and overall client satisfaction for assigned accounts.
This remote, full-time role serves as the primary liaison for employer clients, facilitating open communication, guiding issue resolution, and executing ongoing service commitments. The professional will partner closely with internal groups such as operations, technology, clinical, finance, and sales teams, alongside external stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Serve as the main daily point of contact for assigned employer clients and key stakeholders
- Partner with internal departments like operations, technology, and clinical teams to resolve client issues
- Communicate status updates, risks, and opportunities clearly to clients and internal leadership
- Facilitate regular client meetings, operational updates, and follow-up tasks
- Lead and take part in employer Open Enrollment meetings and associated activities
- Prepare and deliver recurring client reporting packages and business review presentations
- Lead client-specific projects by creating project plans, timelines, and communication strategies
- Coordinate cross-functional resources to hit project milestones and transition completed work into daily operations
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in employer client account management, self-funded health plan administration, health insurance operations, or a closely related field
- Working knowledge of the Affordable Care Act, Consolidated Appropriations Act, ERISA, and Mental Health Parity requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint, as well as AI platforms such as ChatGPT and Claude
- Availability to travel up to 25 percent of the time depending on seasonal and client requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related discipline
- Active Life and Health insurance license, or the ability to acquire one within 90 days of employment
- Demonstrated background in managing relationships with brokers, consultants, benefits administrators, or healthcare partners
- Understanding of self-funded medical and pharmacy benefit design and administration
