The person in this role will drive technical architecture, establish engineering standards, and oversee production outcomes from concept to release. Responsibilities include managing engineers across full-stack, frontend, and backend development while directly participating in code reviews, debugging, and system design. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of engineers spanning frontend, backend, and full-stack development
- Oversee engineering delivery for major product areas to ensure rapid shipping without sacrificing reliability
- Collaborate with product, design, mobile, backend, and AI teams to translate ambiguous problems into clear technical execution
- Drive architecture and technical decisions regarding APIs, databases, integrations, infrastructure, and customer-facing systems
- Establish engineering standards for code quality, system design, testing, observability, security, and production reliability
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, debugging sessions, and critical technical choices
- Mentor and develop engineers through regular feedback, coaching, and performance management
- Enhance engineering processes, tooling, and automation to support scaling operations
- Monitor systems, manage incident resolution, identify root causes, and prevent recurring issues
- Foster an engineering culture centered on ownership, speed, technical excellence, and continuous improvement
Requirements
- Background in software engineering with experience building and shipping production systems
- Experience leading or managing software engineers and taking responsibility for engineering delivery
- Technical depth across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure
- Track record of taking products or systems from conception through development, launch, and production
- Proficiency in English communication for collaboration across global teams
- Ability to operate effectively within a distributed, fast-moving international team across various time zones
