Zyte is looking for a remote Events Manager to oversee its event strategy, calendar, and execution for developer and enterprise audiences in the US and Europe. Founded in 2010, Zyte is a globally distributed web data extraction company with over 250 employees across more than 28 countries. The organization provides tools and services utilized by more than 3,000 companies and 1 million developers, and it hosts the Extract Summit biannually.
In this full-time remote role, the professional chosen will drive registrations and manage end-to-end logistics for the Extract Summit flagships, determine which external conferences the company should sponsor, attend, or pass on, and secure speaking slots alongside DevRel, Product, SLT, and Engineering teams. This position suits someone who has previously managed technical or developer-focused events, enjoys collaborating with Sales and technical staff, and can track event-driven pipeline and lead capture using HubSpot and Salesforce.
New team members gain the flexibility to work from their preferred locations alongside a multi-cultural group, utilize open-source technologies, and travel for flagship gatherings and a small number of external conferences annually.
Responsibilities
- Research target audiences and competitor presence to recommend event participation and sponsorship plans to the CMO and CRO
- Manage critical deadlines, early-bird windows, and sponsorship tiers
- Identify speaking engagements and coordinate submissions with DevRel, Product, SLT, and Engineering
- Direct the end-to-end execution of Extract Summit US and EMEA, covering venues, schedules, speaker logistics, and attendance drives
- Coordinate attendee assignments, staff briefings, on-site leadership, booth operations, shipping, and vendor lists for external events
- Administer the approved events budget, monitor potential overruns, and negotiate vendor and sponsorship contracts
- Ensure timely lead handoff to Sales and report on CRM metrics including cost per opportunity, leads, and influenced pipeline
Requirements
- Experience running events tailored to developer, data, or technology audiences in both the US and Europe
- Demonstrated history of using data to choose or decline event sponsorships and eliminating underperforming ones
- Experience driving attendance numbers for events
- Demonstrated skill in negotiating vendor or sponsorship contracts independently
- Background in reporting event results and pipeline impact through a CRM
- Experience collaborating effectively with Sales and technical teams
- Availability to travel for flagship events and a limited number of external gatherings annually
Qualifications
- Prior work experience within a web scraping, data extraction, or API-first company
- Established relationships with organizers in the Python and data communities
- Familiarity with Call for Papers (CFP) and speaker program management
