Job Description
Cribl is looking for someone to head its industrial security program, a Facility Security Officer role tied to growth in the federal side of the business. The company brands itself an AI platform for telemetry and serves IT and security groups at major enterprises. The post is remote, and the employer runs as a distributed team spread across many regions.
The person would hold the FSO of record designation with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, known as DCSA. The role oversees the Facility Clearance program and keeps the business aligned with NISP rules and 32 CFR Part 117. The listing stresses that the work concerns industrial security rather than guarding premises or general office protection.
Collaboration reaches Legal, the people team, Contracts, the public sector sales group, IT, Workplace and Security and Compliance. The FSO acts as the main channel to DCSA and advises senior leaders on government security obligations before any commitments are signed.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens with an active Secret credential and the capacity to obtain Top Secret eligibility. Seven or more years in industrial or personnel security are sought, including at least three years as an appointed or assistant FSO for a cleared contractor. Practical use of DISS, NBIS, NISS, eApp and DCSA reviews is needed, along with finishing the DCSA/CDSE FSO coursework through STEPP within six months of appointment if not already completed.
Useful extras include time at a software, SaaS or cloud firm, the SPeD or NCMS ISP credential, and working knowledge of CUI rules, DFARS, CMMC or FedRAMP. Some hours outside the usual schedule may be needed to cover other time zones.
Responsibilities
- Keep facility clearance sponsorship current in NISS, covering SF-328 filings, key management designations, changed-condition notices and FOCI reports
- Handle each stage of cleared-personnel records in DISS and NBIS, from sponsorship through termination
- Walk applicants through eApp and keep personnel security files confidential and correct
- Give initial, annual, insider-threat and foreign travel briefings
- Keep DD Form 254s up to date, process visit requests and advise Contracts and Legal before deals are signed
- Carry out yearly self-inspections, produce required reports and certificates, and prepare for DCSA reviews
- Coordinate with Workplace and Facilities on badge access, visitors and secure-area rules
- Write and update security policies, procedures, record-keeping standards and training courses
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship plus a current Secret clearance from the U.S. Government, with eligibility for Top Secret
- Seven or more years in industrial or personnel security, including three-plus years as FSO or assistant FSO for a cleared contractor
- Solid understanding of the 32 CFR Part 117 rule and NISPOM
- Practical use of DISS/NBIS, NISS, eApp, facility clearance processing, SF-328 and FOCI, DD Form 254s and DCSA reviews
- Strong writing, organization and judgment, plus discretion
Qualifications
- SPeD or NCMS ISP certification
- Prior work for a business in software, SaaS, cloud or technology
- Knowledge of CUI rules, DFARS, CMMC or FedRAMP
- Experience building a security program or guiding a facility through an initial clearance
