Job Description
Cribl wants a Senior Engineering Manager who will head a team of SDET engineers that test software. The group is responsible for quality and reliability across every Cribl product. The job is hands-on leadership that builds quality in from the start, covering test strategy from design through release.
Cribl describes itself as an AI platform for telemetry that serves the IT and security departments of large enterprises. It describes a global, remote-first workforce and says it is among the quickest-growing private firms in its market.
The manager sets the quality strategy, shares metrics that guide the team's roadmap, and pushes forward test automation, CI reliability, defect prevention, analysis of root causes and a lower rate of escaped defects. The job also involves working alongside product and engineering leads, running failure analysis that connects customer deployment problems to testing gaps, and coaching test engineers who focus on agentic workflows. Off-hours availability, including stand-by or on-call shifts, may be part of the role.
The posting describes a company that puts customers first, so failure analysis in this role is meant to close the gap between internal testing and real customer deployments.
