The Berkeley, California office located on University Avenue seeks a full-time Family Medicine Physician to handle varied patient panels, conduct wellness and acute care visits, and participate in collaborative team settings.
This position requires managing routine and urgent clinical needs, overseeing nurse practitioners or physician assistants, and completing occasional telehealth appointments. Practitioners engage in continuous learning through weekly clinical rounds and daily team huddles. The role features a base salary range of $308,700 to $369,000 per year, with relocation assistance and a comprehensive benefits package available for eligible team members.
Responsibilities
- Manage a patient panel featuring diverse healthcare needs across acute, chronic, and well visits
- Provide care to patients in an office setting, testing centers, and through occasional telehealth appointments
- Engage in weekly clinical rounds and daily huddles with in-office and virtual clinical teammates
- Perform in-office procedures utilizing specific clinical training
- Supervise one or more nurse practitioner or physician assistant colleagues
Requirements
- Enrollment in or completion of an accredited Family Medicine or Medicine/Pediatrics residency program
- Practice experience of at least two of the last five years in an outpatient primary care setting treating patients of all ages
- Board certification in Family Medicine or Medicine/Pediatrics, or board eligibility with a plan to obtain certification within one year of the start date
- Possession of a California state medical license prior to the start date
- Willingness to obtain additional state licensures and credentialing for virtual primary care
