Deloitte is seeking a Finance Business Partner - Senior Manager to guide financial strategy and growth across its Africa Service Area. In this position, the professional functions as a strategic advisor to leadership, turning complex financial data into actionable insights that direct business decisions and competitive strategy. The individual will lead project services and general accounting operations, oversee monthly management accounting, drive budgeting and forecasting, and implement controllership initiatives. Additionally, the role involves managing and mentoring a high-performing team, building strong internal relationships, and participating in broader finance projects. Responsibilities
- Deliver financial intelligence and strategic insights to the Service Area Leader and Lead Finance Business Partner
- Lead the operations of the Service Area Project Services and General Accounting function
- Consolidate financial results across Africa while maintaining robust internal controls and compliance
- Review monthly income statements, key performance indicators, working capital, and revenue performance
- Manage comprehensive budgeting and forecasting for the Service Area and cascade performance targets
- Align and embed controllership and shared service centre initiatives, technologies, and training
- Recruit, mentor, and develop accounting team members while maintaining robust succession plans
Requirements
- Minimum of seven years of progressive finance experience, preferably in professional services
- Demonstrated success in strategic finance leadership and team management
- Advanced proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and strategic planning
- Strong capability in stakeholder communication and presenting complex financial concepts
Qualifications
- Relevant Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent
- Experience in a Big Four professional services firm or a similar complex, matrix-driven organization
- Exposure to finance transformation, process improvement, or shared service centre implementations
- Experience managing geographically dispersed teams across multiple markets
