Job Description
Africa Trade and Distribution Co is looking for a Finance Manager to join its finance risk and compliance department in Harare. This full-time, on-site role oversees the financial operations of ATDC Zimbabwe, encompassing financial accounting, regulatory compliance, reporting, budgeting, treasury management, and cost control.
The position requires delivering strategic financial guidance to management, supporting business planning, and maintaining the financial sustainability and integrity of operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management and must possess a relevant professional accounting certification.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement financial strategies supporting organizational goals
- Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements compliant with IFRS
- Lead the annual budgeting process and manage periodic forecasts alongside variance analyses
- Monitor organizational liquidity, cash flows, and working capital needs
- Track expenditures against established budgets and find cost-saving measures
- Supply financial analysis for trading activities, investments, and trade finance
- Handle tax compliance obligations and submit tax returns
- Build and maintain strong internal controls and policy compliance
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Mandatory professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CA
- Minimum of five to seven years of professional experience in financial management or accounting
- Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance mandates in Zimbabwe
Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree like an MBA or an MSc in Finance or Accounting
- Additional certifications in financial management, treasury, or trade finance
- Background working in financial services, commodity trading, or trade finance sectors
- Prior experience handling financial reporting, budgeting, treasury management, cost control, and leading a finance team
