This remote, full-time position aims to streamline the internal finance organization so that it functions more efficiently and transparently for the wider business.
This role suits an operational builder who can trace how financial workflows travel, identify bottlenecks, and implement practical solutions. While a CPA certification is not required, the ideal candidate possesses a strong background in finance operations or adjacent fields and is eager to leverage artificial intelligence to eliminate repetitive manual tasks.
The person in this position will take charge of the finance operating rhythm by managing the monthly close calendar, maintaining cross-departmental deadline trackers, and facilitating recurring meetings. Responsibilities include mapping out information hand-offs, turning ad-hoc data requests into standardized reports, automating workflows utilizing AI tools like Claude, and coordinating cross-functional projects and audit preparations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly close calendar and maintain a centralized tracker for deadlines and dependencies across accounting, FP&A, orders, and RevOps
- Run recurring finance meetings, capture key decisions, and follow up on all action items until completion
- Map out information flows between finance and other teams to establish reliable hand-offs and prevent system disruptions
- Convert one-off reporting requests into standardized dashboards delivered on a regular schedule
- Identify manual tasks and implement AI tools and automated workflows to handle them
- Write playbooks and train other team members on newly introduced automation processes
- Coordinate cross-functional finance projects, including year-end tasks and audit requests, from scoping to final delivery
- Prepare organized support materials for executive leadership and external auditors
Requirements
- Possess 4 to 6 years of professional experience in finance operations, business operations, FP&A, revenue accounting, or accounting operations
- Demonstrate comfort with month-end reporting, the financial close, and order-to-cash workflows
- Have experience working with AI tools, with a preference for Claude
- Demonstrate strong project management skills capable of tracking and completing initiatives involving multiple owners
- Exhibit clear written communication, steady follow-through, and collaborative skills for working with cross-functional partners
- Perform stationary tasks such as sitting for extended periods
- Demonstrate manual dexterity for repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers while using a computer
