Flex is currently seeking a Financial Crime Analyst to join their remote team. Flex operates as an AI-native private bank designed specifically for business owners, offering a unified platform for banking, credit, payments, and financial operations. In this role, the analyst will help protect both the platform and its customers by identifying and reviewing suspicious financial activity, conducting due diligence, and supporting overall program integrity.
Working within the financial crime team, the chosen professional will handle daily tasks such as analyzing transaction alerts, performing know-your-customer assessments, and maintaining accurate documentation. Responsibilities
- Review and disposition transaction monitoring alerts by applying Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering typologies to differentiate suspicious behavior from false positives
- Draft clear case narratives and escalate higher-risk activities for supervisory review
- Support suspicious activity and suspicious transaction report filings under senior team direction
- Conduct know-your-customer reviews for new and existing accounts by verifying identification documents and assessing risk profiles
- Identify clients requiring enhanced due diligence and flag them for escalation
- Maintain complete and accurate records within the case management system
- Assist with periodic quality assurance and file reviews associated with the bank partner program
- Help identify patterns or operational gaps to improve detection coverage and efficiency
- Participate in team training while staying current on evolving regulatory guidance and anti-money laundering typologies
Requirements
- One to two years of experience in fraud operations, Bank Secrecy Act or anti-money laundering compliance, or a related financial crimes role, including internships or co-ops
- Working knowledge of customer due diligence, know-your-customer requirements, and Bank Secrecy Act obligations
- Strong written communication skills to articulate why something is or is not suspicious in plain language
- High attention to detail along with comfort navigating ambiguous or incomplete information
- Ability to manage a queue and prioritize effectively
- Self-driven mentality and a growth mindset
Qualifications
- Experience utilizing a transaction monitoring platform such as Sardine, Unit21, Actimize, or similar systems
- Exposure to fintech, payments, or banking-as-a-service program compliance
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist or other anti-money laundering certification either in progress or completed
